About- Motiram Baburam Government Post Graduate College – [MBGPG]

The Moti Ram Babu Ram Educational Trust supported the establishment of M.B. Govt. Post Graduate College Haldwani in 1960 as a private degree college to meet the requirements of the youth of Haldwani and the neighboring areas for higher education.

Prior to Kumaun University Nainital’s founding in 1974, it was associated with Agra University till 1973. It became associated with the College. In 1982, the government of Uttar Pradesh took over the management of the college from the Moti Ram Babu Ram Educational Trust in order to better serve the interests of the students and other stakeholders. As a result, the college is now a government college that is funded and run by the state government. It is accepted by the University Grants Commission in accordance with UGC sections 2[F] and 12[b].
