About – Doon University Dehradun
Established in 2005, Doon University is a public, national university located in the foothills of the Shivalik range in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The university was opened by the Government of Uttarakhand under the Doon University Act (Uttaranchal Adhiniyam Sankhya 18). It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The university has been accredited as Category B by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Doon University offers various interdisciplinary programs at undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels in various fields of education such as science, mass communication, languages, social sciences, management, technology and engineering. The university aims to promote quality education in rural and urban areas of Dehradun and Uttarakhand. It also leads at the forefront of science and pedagogy.
