Chevening workshop on Leadership and soft skills

Chevening and DIT University organized joint workshop Dehradun (Correspondent). DIT University hosted a one-day leadership and soft-skill development workshop in collaboration with Chevening Scholarships funded from the Chevening Alumni Program Fund for students from under-represented communities in Uttarakhand. Chevening Scholarships is a UK government international scholarship program funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The workshop targeted 100 students from various universities of Dehradun (DIT University, Tula Institute, Graphic Era Hill University, Graphic Era Deemed University, Government PG College, MKP College, Shri Dev Suman University, Himgiri Ji University). This collaborative program equipped participants with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue higher education opportunities. These students were also provided valuable insight into leadership development, soft-skill enhancement, and scholarship application strategies. Free Health Check-up Camp at Sahaspur, Dehradun’s Village Hariyawala Kalan

Uttaranchal Hospital and Diagnostic Centre (UHDC) and Uttaranchal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) of Uttaranchal University, Dehradun held a Free Health Check-up Camp in Hariyawala Kalan Village, Sahaspur, Dehradun, as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) initiative and commitment of a significant movement towards promoting community welfare. DEHRADUN, February 10: To educate students about drug abuse and its negative effects, KKBM Subharti Hospital held a special lecture at JBIT Group of Institutions, Selaqui. There were two hundred boys and girls present during the lecture. The pupils were addressed by renowned psychiatrist and psychology department professor Rajeev Dogra. Details regarding the various amenities were also given, as was information about the hospital’s de-addiction and rehabilitation program. It was also mentioned that the Subharti de-addiction and Rehabilitation Center has already helped a large number of young people overcome their drug addiction and receive a fresh start. Dr. Dogra continued her speech to the pupils by highlighting the importance of getting professional counseling if someone is struggling with drug addiction. A one-day Basic Life Support (BLS) training course was held on Thursday in conjunction with Dr. KKBM Subharti Hospital in honor of the 73rd Foundation Day of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESI). Dixon staff members received basic life support training from senior physicians at Subharti Hospital. Heart disease used to be a condition exclusive to the wealthy, but according to Dr. Sohan Singh, Medical Officer in Charge of the State Insurance Scheme Dispensary, it is now a prevalent illness. As a result, it is critical that everyone be aware of it. Senior physician Dr. Kanishk Ahuja of the hospital’s anesthesia department advised taking an unconscious person to a secure location, having him lie down on the ground, and then checking his pulse. Check the neck if the hand doesn’t show a pulse. Start performing CPR on the patient right away if there is no pulse there. Dr. Manish used a dummy to demonstrate how to perform CPR. Dixon Technology representatives congratulated the Subharti team after the event and stated that more training of this kind is desperately needed to save the lives of the impoverished.
