Over 660 recruiters from a variety of industries, including IT, eCommerce, Oil and Gas, Legal, BFSI, Manufacturing, Automobile, Pharma, FMCG, Retail, Telecom, and others, participated in campus placement at the institution this year. In addition to its stellar placement record, the university saw a twofold increase in the average CTC and a threefold increase in the highest CTC provided to graduates. 2696 students in all took part in the campus placement process, and they were offered jobs by nearly 660 companies in all. Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Cisco, Salesforce, L&T, IBM, Samsung Research, VMware, EY, PwC, Capgemini, Barclays, Amex, KPMG, IKEA, and other organizations were among those holding placement drives at the UPES campus. Notably, the university places a strong focus on the necessity of intervening through specialized programs like EDGE (Enhanced Development Growth and Enrichment) to prepare students for the workforce. The EDGE team ensures that students have the skills and knowledge required for industry by providing them with individualized programs and guidance. Additionally, the group leads industrial partners’ on-campus training sessions, bridging the gap between academics and industry and offering priceless real-world insights. A variety of training programs are attended by students from all seven institutions, including topics such as aptitude, soft skills, group discussions, mock interviews, resume writing, and portfolio development. This all-encompassing method ensures that students have the practical abilities necessary in today’s extremely competitive job market in addition to their academic prowess. In addition to emphasizing employment skills, EDGE provides on-campus coaching for a range of competitive tests, including CAT, MAT, GATE, GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS, and more, in order to act as a platform for preparing for future academic endeavors. Our dedication to excellence continues to be our first focus as we negotiate the present employment market. Despite the challenges, we keep paving the way for our students to fulfilling careers by proactive engagement with industry leaders and individualized career development programs. Manish Madaan, UPES’s registrar and director of training and placements, stated, “We have broadened our pool of recruiters and adjusted to the more recent demands of the industry to make sure that our students have the knowledge and experience necessary to flourish in any setting with resilience and confidence. The top hiring industry this year was the IT sector, which was followed by consulting and research. Among all the recruiters on campus, Cognizant extended the greatest amount of offers. In addition to demonstrating the caliber of UPES students, this notable increase highlights the university’s dominant position in the cutthroat labor market. Additionally, UPES offers aspiring business owners a start-up incubation program called “Runway.” Runway helps students transform their company ideas into successful enterprises by providing them with crucial tools such as finance, mentorship, and accelerator programs.
