Assistant Professor In Computer Application -Shivalik College of Engineering

Shivalik College of Engineering, Dehradun, is inviting applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Assistant Professor in Computer Applications. The selected candidate will be responsible for academic teaching, student mentoring, curriculum development and contributing to the overall growth of the department. The role includes delivering lectures and practical sessions, preparing lesson plans and study materials, developing assessment tools, guiding students in academic projects and research activities, and participating in curriculum development and academic planning. The faculty member will also conduct evaluations, examinations and internal assessments. The position involves contributing to accreditation, documentation and academic audits, participating in departmental and institutional activities, maintaining academic discipline and supporting overall student development. Candidates should have an MCA in Computer Science/IT or M.Tech in a relevant specialization. NET qualification is preferred as per applicable university/AICTE norms. Experienced candidates will be preferred, while freshers with strong subject knowledge may also apply. The candidate should have strong subject knowledge in Computer Applications, good communication and presentation skills, the ability to engage and mentor students effectively, and familiarity with modern teaching tools and technologies. Salary will be provided as per institutional norms and based on the candidate's qualification and experience. This is a full-time, in-person position.
