FMS Delhi Admission 2026

Faculty of Management Studies Delhi (FMS Delhi) has officially opened applications for its MBA and Executive MBA programmes for the 2026 batch. Admission to the flagship MBA programme is strictly based on CAT 2025 scores, while Executive MBA admissions follow a separate evaluation process conducted by the institute.

Candidates interested in FMS Delhi must apply separately on the official FMS website, apart from registering for the CAT examination.

FMS Delhi MBA Admission 2026: Overview

The MBA programme at FMS Delhi is a two-year, full-time course and remains one of the most competitive management programmes in India due to its strong placement outcomes and affordable fee structure. The total course fee for the MBA programme is approximately ₹2.43 lakh, excluding refundable deposits and miscellaneous charges.

For admission in 2026, general category candidates typically need a CAT percentile in the range of 98 to 99, based on past admission trends. CAT 2025 is scheduled to be conducted on November 30, 2025.

The MBA batch at FMS Delhi has 251 sanctioned seats, along with 63 supernumerary seats, which include seats for foreign nationals, PwD candidates, and other special categories as per University of Delhi norms.

FMS Delhi MBA Eligibility & Selection Process

To be eligible for the MBA programme, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% aggregate marks, while reserved category candidates are eligible with 45% marks.

Shortlisting for the interview stage is done solely on the basis of CAT sectional and overall percentiles, with Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) carrying the highest weightage of 40%, followed by Quantitative Ability (30%) and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (30%).

Candidates shortlisted after CAT are called for Statement of Purpose (SOP) discussion, Extempore, and Personal Interview, which are generally conducted between February and April 2026.

Final selection is based on a composite score, where CAT carries 50% weightage, Class 10 and Class 12 scores contribute 10% each, SOP discussion contributes 10%, Extempore accounts for 5%, and the Personal Interview carries 15% weightage. Additionally, female candidates are awarded 5 bonus marks, which applies only to the MBA full-time programme.

FMS Delhi MBA Cutoff Trends

MBA admission at FMS Delhi is highly CAT-centric. In recent admission cycles, the overall CAT cutoff for MBA has remained around the 98th percentile across categories. Candidates must also clear sectional cutoffs, which typically hover around the 50th percentile mark for VARC, DILR, and Quantitative Ability.

Steps to Apply for MBA at FMS Delhi

Candidates must first register and appear for CAT 2025 through the official IIM CAT portal. Once CAT registrations are complete, applicants need to fill out the FMS Delhi MBA application form, which is usually released in early November. The application fee is ₹1,000 for General candidates and ₹350 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates.

After CAT results are declared in January 2026, FMS Delhi releases a shortlist based purely on CAT scores. Shortlisted candidates then participate in the interview process, and the final merit list is released around April 2026. Selected candidates must confirm their admission and pay the initial fee within the prescribed deadline.

FMS Delhi Executive MBA Admission 2026

FMS Delhi also offers Executive MBA programmes designed for working professionals. Classes for these programmes are generally conducted on weekday evenings, with extended sessions on Saturdays. The total fee for Executive MBA programmes is approximately ₹2.43 lakh for the entire duration.

The institute offers two Executive MBA options: Executive MBA (General) and Executive MBA in Health Care Administration (HCA).

Executive MBA (General): Eligibility & Selection

For the Executive MBA (General), candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks in disciplines such as Arts, Commerce, Sciences, Law, Engineering, Technology, Medicine, Mathematics, or Statistics, along with a minimum of five years of work experience.

Selection is based on a combination of academic performance, SOP evaluation, Extempore, discussion on national and international business affairs, and a Personal Interview. Graduation marks carry significant weightage, followed by SOP and Extempore performance.

Executive MBA in Health Care Administration (HCA)

The Executive MBA HCA programme is specifically designed for professionals from the healthcare and allied sectors. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in medical disciplines such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, or BHMS with at least 45% marks.

Alternatively, applicants with a master’s degree (55% marks) in areas such as Biotechnology, Nursing, Genetics, Bioengineering, Pharmacology, Anthropology, or related fields are also eligible, provided they have a minimum of five years of work experience.

Admission follows the same multi-stage evaluation process involving SOP assessment, Extempore, discussion rounds, and a Personal Interview.

FMS Delhi Executive MBA Selection Weightage

For Executive MBA programmes, graduation marks contribute the highest weightage, followed by SOP discussion and Extempore. Class 10 marks also carry weightage, while performance in business affairs discussion and personal interview forms the final component of the evaluation process.

FMS Delhi Admission Dates 2026 (Tentative)

The last date to apply for FMS Delhi MBA programmes is expected to be November 26, 2025. CAT 2025 will be conducted on November 30, 2025, with results likely to be declared in the first week of January 2026.

Interview rounds for MBA and Executive MBA programmes are expected to take place between February and March 2026, while the final admission offers are usually released in April 2026.

FMS Delhi vs IIMs: Admission Process Comparison

Compared to top IIMs such as Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta, FMS Delhi places significantly higher emphasis on CAT scores, with CAT alone contributing 50% of the final selection weightage. Unlike IIM Bangalore, which gives strong importance to past academics, FMS Delhi offers a relatively level playing field to candidates with strong CAT performance, even if their academic background is average.
