Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a 2-year diploma program that is completed upon successful completion of the 10+2 academic level education. This medical course includes advanced professional learning in: – Prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in patients through clinical laboratory tests. The course is carefully designed to provide students with knowledge and technical skills on various subjects such as pathology, biochemistry, microbiology and hematology. The course also trains them to use advanced laboratory equipment, perform accurate medical laboratory tests, and eventually work as a laboratory technician.
DMLT course Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate should be passed their 10+2 exam with physics, chemistry & biology as compulsory subjects with at least 50% overall grade. The minimum age requirement for this course is 17 years.
Admission Process in DMLT
The selection of candidates for the DMLT colleges in India is mainly based on their performance in 10+2 exams. Once the results are announced, each institute will publish their merit list or cut offs for the DMLT course and if you fullfill the criteria of merit list, you will be admitted to the course.
