Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University (CSMU) has officially published the fee structure for the academic session 2026–27. The revised fees apply to programmes offered across multiple faculties, including Engineering & Technology, Commerce, Management & Hospitality, Science, Arts & Humanities, Pharmacy, and Law. Along with academic fees, the university has also detailed hostel accommodation charges for Indian students.
CSMU Hostel Fee Structure 2026–27 (Indian Nationals)
CSMU offers on-campus hostel facilities in both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned categories. Students opting for triple-sharing non-AC rooms will need to pay ₹92,000 per year, while double-sharing non-AC accommodation is available at an annual fee of ₹1,10,000.
For students preferring air-conditioned rooms, the triple-sharing AC hostel costs ₹1,20,000 per annum. The double-sharing AC rooms, which provide more space and comfort, are priced at ₹1,40,000 per year.
Faculty of Engineering & Technology – Fee Details
At the Faculty of Engineering & Technology, CSMU charges an annual fee of ₹1,60,000 for most undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programmes. This fee applies to B.Tech programmes in Electronics & Communication, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Biotechnology, all of which have a duration of four years.
The same annual fee of ₹1,60,000 is applicable for B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology, as well as B.Tech lateral entry programmes, which are completed in three years.
Specialised programmes such as B.Tech CSE with Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in collaboration with IBM, including its lateral entry option, are also priced at ₹1,60,000 per year. Additionally, advanced technology-focused B.Tech programmes in AI & ML, AI & Robotics, Cyber Security, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and IoT follow the same fee structure. The M.Tech programme, which runs for two years, is also charged at ₹1,60,000 annually.
Faculty of Commerce, Management & Hospitality – Fee Details
Under the Faculty of Commerce, Management & Hospitality, B.Com programmes, including B.Com (Hons.), B.Com (Research), and B.Com in Accounting & Finance, have an annual fee of ₹50,000 for a duration of three to four years.
The BBA programme is offered at ₹1,10,000 per year, while specialised BBA programmes in HR, Finance, and Marketing carry a higher annual fee of ₹1,50,000. At the postgraduate level, the M.Com programme is priced at ₹50,000 per annum, whereas the MBA programme has an annual fee of ₹2,00,000 for its two-year duration.
In hospitality studies, the Diploma in Hotel Management and B.Sc. in Hospitality Studies both cost ₹90,000 per year. The Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) programme has an annual fee of ₹1,20,000, while the Master of Hotel Management (MHM) is priced at ₹75,000 per year.
Faculty of Science – Fee Details
Within the Faculty of Science, B.Sc and B.Sc (Hons./Research) programmes are offered at an affordable annual fee of ₹50,000, with durations ranging from three to four years. The standard M.Sc programme also carries an annual fee of ₹50,000 for two years.
However, specialised postgraduate science programmes such as M.Sc in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, and Biochemistry are priced slightly higher at ₹75,000 per year. The M.Sc Mathematics programme, which includes Applied Mathematics and Data Science, has an annual fee of ₹65,000.
Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Communication – Fee Details
At the undergraduate level, BA and BA (Hons./Research) programmes are offered at ₹50,000 per year, while postgraduate MA programmes follow the same annual fee structure. Psychology-focused programmes have higher fees, with BA/BSc (Hons./Research) in Psychology costing ₹75,000 per annum, and MA/MSc Psychology programmes priced at ₹80,000 per year.
The Journalism and Mass Communication programmes are charged at ₹90,000 annually for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Social work programmes such as BSW and MSW are priced at ₹50,000 and ₹60,000 per year, respectively.
Library science programmes, including BLIS and MLIS, each have a one-year duration with an annual fee of ₹45,000. Creative and design programmes such as the Diploma in Fine Arts or Design cost ₹1,10,000 per year, while BFA, BDes, and BVA programmes are priced at ₹1,50,000 annually. The B.Sc in Design programme costs ₹1,20,000 per year, and postgraduate design and fine arts programmes such as MFA, MDes, and MVA have an annual fee of ₹1,10,000.
Faculty of Pharmacy – Fee Details
All pharmacy programmes at CSMU follow a uniform fee structure. The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), B.Pharm lateral entry, and Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) programmes are each charged at ₹1,75,000 per year, regardless of programme duration.
Faculty of Law – Fee Details
The Faculty of Law offers the three-year LL.B programme at an annual fee of ₹1,25,000. Integrated law programmes such as BA LL.B (Hons.) and BBA LL.B, both of five years’ duration, are priced at ₹95,000 per year. The postgraduate LL.M programme, which runs for two years, carries an annual fee of ₹80,000.
