About- DAV PG College 

In the year 1892, an Arya Samaj evening school was moved from Meerut to the Dehradun valley. D.A.V. School flourished and matured from that little sapling. Growing and branching gradually, it became the Dayanand Anglo Vedic Post Graduate College, Dehradun in 1948 thanks to the generosity of individuals such as Thakur Puran Singh Negi, who gave this educational establishment his whole estate

The esteemed educationist and social reformer Hon. (Late) Virendra Swaroop, the Chairman of the Legislative Council (U.P.), oversaw it at first. It is currently overseen and managed competently by Shri Jagendra Swaroop, M.L.C., Secretary, Dayanand Shiksha Sansthan, Kanpur, Board of Management. Along with being an approved IGNOU Study Center, the college also offers a variety of self-financing courses, including B.Sc. IT, journalism, and tourism. Prominent academics on campus are successfully managing research projects funded by UGC, CSIR, DST, ISRO, and ICSSR in a variety of disciplines. The college has a long and illustrious history of success in a variety of programs, including adult education, games, sports, Rovers and Rangers, NCC and NSS, etc.
