Kumaun University is situated in Nainital, Uttarakhand, and was founded in 1973 by the state government of that region. The institution comprises three campuses, one each in Almora, Nainital, and Bhimtal, and is situated over 160 acres. The Kumaun University is recognized by UGC, and the NAAC awards it a “A” grade for accreditation. The University was placed 53rd in The Week’s 2020 University category, with over 65 associated colleges.
