The Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Dehradun (ISO 9001: 2008 and HACCP Certified) is an Autonomous Institute established under the Grants-in-Aid Scheme of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The institute, which is maintained by a registered State Government Society and is managed by a Governing Body, began its first academic session in July 2006.
IHM, Dehradun is the country’s newest hotel management institute, offering a three-year B.Sc. degree in hospitality and hotel administration through a partnership between the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), Noida (formerly PUSA, New Delhi) and Indira Gandhi National Open University. The Institute also provides a variety of Short Term Courses.
The Institute is adequately equipped with laboratories and classrooms for students to obtain the requisite skill standards in the Degree and Diploma Programmes. The institute is also well-equipped with labs, classrooms, guest rooms, and a library to help students develop their knowledge, attitude, and skills. Faculty are qualified individuals that specialise in knowledge distribution in their various fields of competence.
