BPT stands for Bachelor of Physiotherapy. It is an undergraduate degree program designed to educate students in the field of physiotherapy, which involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical disabilities or injuries.
After the completion of internship, you need to register with the respective state physiotherapy council or the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) to obtain your license to practice as a physiotherapist.
Many physiotherapists in India pursue 2 year post-graduate courses (MPT specialization) to specialize in areas such as orthopedics, neurology, sports physiotherapy, pediatric physiotherapy, etc.
With your license and possibly specialization, you can start practicing as a physiotherapist. You can work in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, sports centers, or even set up your own private practice.
